hi, i'm 21 and from a boring coastal resort in the uk, and my problem is that i don't want to get a career, or even a job (some may see that as a problem, esp my family). so i am going to get away from it all, and for a long time now i have had this want to get to central and south america. i've been looking into it for a while, and all the options that are open to me(voluntary work etc), and money is'nt that big a problem. but coming from a protected, middle class back ground. i'm a little anxious of making the jump myself(i've only ever traveled in the uk or to friends in nearby europe), so i am looking to find someone who wants to come along, i'm pretty laid back (most of the time!) and i am kinda organised. so anyone who wants to make the change with me, or just has some ideas of how to help me on my way, then let me know. anyone can apply! if ur in the same situation as me, then we can push each other on!

hi, im a 20 year old from london. i am sick of studying ! and am thinking of going to S america this summer holiday. im really up for going to tour brazil and maybe peru.. but havent got any set plans yet. all of my friends are busy or havent got the money to come with me. dont mind going on my own, but it'd be cool to go with someone else for at least some of the way....ive done a months backpacking in europe but nothing like this before. im looking for an adventure ! (cheesy but true)...

so what kind of trip are u planning?

I was just coming to appeal for travel buddies one more time before giving up and setting off, and then i see someone has finally replied to my origanal request. I'm just bored of being stuck where i am and want some adventure, i have not made any plans, just trying to work out where i can go that is cheap and will be a great experiance. I been considering flying out to mexico and working my way through central america, having fun whilst trying to keep off the tourist trail. The only limit on the length of my stay is money, so i have thought about trying to find various work on the way to pay for a place to stay, but other than that i am completly undecided.
