Hi,

Yes, I am looking for travellers going to Tibet in October because this is just what I am looking for: real travellers who want to join me in some areas of Tibet. Specially the areas where a 4WD is needed. In fact my plan is as follows:

Fly Barcelona to Beijing on the 9th October then on the 11th fly to Chengdu to arrange some travel permits. Talking about this complicate subject: who knows exactly how does it work? I have read many stories about that and where to get them: Traffic hotel? Sim’s guesthouse? www.china exploration? do we really need them?........ I would like to hear up-to-date news.

Then once in Lhasa I have different choices so I am very flexible and open minded to fit the one my future partner’s travellers would like to do. Here are the options:

1. The area of Ü: Nam-Tso lake with the monasteries and the valleys of Largung, Chongye. It will take around 3 days (+/-).

2. The friendship road only until the Nepali border to Zhandu and coming back to Lhasa again. I am not interested in going to Katmandú. In this road to visit: Tingri, Tsang province, Sakya, Shigatse, Gyantse...

3. The eastern Tibet (Kham): this area is the most remote and the most untouched, this means that the places you visit are REAL places with not a lot of influence Chinese. It’s a land apart from the rest of Tibet. You do a loop in 17 days to Chamdo from Lhasa to Lhasa. Places to visit: Draksumtso, Lamaling temple, Serkhym-la, Lunang, Pomi, Rawok, Chamdo, Riwoche, Tengchen...

4. The western area: Mount Kailas Kora and Manasarovar lake.

As I told you before this is what I am interested in doing but in more than 3 weeks I will have to choose. Unfortunately my travel dates are fixed, I mean I am not able to change or cancel my plane ticket because I got a very good price flying with FINNAIR. This means that I will have to go back to Beijing on the 6th November. So if during this period of time (12th October till the 6th November) there are some travellers who want to join me in taking a 4WD and doing some of the options I have mentioned before, BE FREE to contact me.
