I've finally had enough of the 9-5 and decided to sell up, quit my job and head off travelling, starting with a year in the USA (Not overly exotic I know, but it's a start). I have no itenerary as yet and am very flexible, but am planning to go around December/January and start in the south and work northwards as the weather warms up. Am not in any rush as I just want to see as much as possible, and have no wish to return back home any time in the next few years.

I am M/27 going on 20, fun-loving and easy going (well I like to think so anyway). Am pretty independent but prefer company, and not quite brave enough to take the plunge alone yet. Friends all hooked on money and careers.

I'm looking for someone roughly the same age (give or take 5 years :o) ), male or female, who might want to join me on my quest, for some or most of the trip.

I know what you mean. The thought of getting to such an immense place totally alone scares the hell out of me.
