Going on a overland jeep trip covering SA, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe. Two spaces available due to an unfortunate last minute cancel of mates...

What:
When I was in South Africa last year I have taken an overland trip. The trip leader, Barry (a South African with 20 years experience leading tours around Africa) and I discussed doing a private jeep trip around the other countries. He is an incredibly knowledgeable travel guide, and knows all the off the beaten track spots, and the logistics of getting around these countries. He will also do all the driving and will organise the jeep and all the camping and overland gear. Frankly, I’m shocked I managed to convince him to do this as he is really in demand and already had to turn down other ‘gigs’.

General Route and sights:
Email me to get the digital map of the trip route. Small detours could be made and as we have our own vehicle we can play things in a flexible manner. But generally the ‘big’ sights are:
- Namibia (Fish river canyon, Etosha national park, Sossusvlei,)
- Botswana (Makgadiikgadi & Naxi Pan, Chobe National Park, Okavango Delta, Tsodilo Hills)
- Zimbabwe (Victoria Falls, Zambezi river, Harare, Chimanimani, great Zimbabwe national monument)

Dates:
Leaving Cape town on 15th December 03, returning to Pretoria 10th January 04 ( 4 weeks in total, if you want you can join along the way)

Costs:
Barry got a great deal on a serious overland jeep and all the camping and overland gear. It works about £20 per day per person which includes the vehicle, camping/overland gear, Barry’s fee, AND petrol. What you need to add on top of it, is park entry fees, and food (very cheap, as most of it will be bought at markets and shops as we will be camping either in the bush or in national park sites).
