Question:
Hi all!

I'm planinga round the world trip for when i finish my degree at university in Wales for Set off on January 2006 and i don't know if i can get a travelling companion from university. Shallow sods don't want to travel and see the world like me! Can't find any serious travellers!
Anyway i've planned this route for about a year:
London - Barcelona- Athens- Moscow - Cairo- Somewhere in south india (havent decided yet) - Bangkok-place in Cambodia - Melbourne ( i have a friend there)- New Zealand- USA/Canada - Back to London.
Haven't worked it out totally yet as its not for another 4 years but thats my set pan and i really want to follow it! If it wasn't for my nagging mother and people i'd go alone but i hear its not safe. Is there anyone close to London inthe UK who is like minded? I'm gonna be 23 when i go and i'm female. Interested to see if anyone thinks the same, cause i've never had the oppotunity to travel before as i lived poor and people who went to these countries didn't value it which annoys me. I dream to go to Barcelona Spain, see its culture, i'm bits of Spanish myself!

You have plenty of time, why stress about it four years before it is going to take place? A lot changes, including yourself, in four years.

Other than that, go solo. You may depart your hometown alone, but when you travel there are people just like you to meet along the way and share cities with.

Am planning to go when i finish uni next year. I've been saving a lot of my loan and living off the overdraft-all i have to do is work for a few months when i finish my last year and then i can spend all the money i saved on travelling!

I'm also a lone traveller planning a RTW trip leaving early next year. We seem to have roughly the same itinerary. Have you found a travel partner yet?
