Hey there!
Im planning on travelling around morocco with my boyfriend in august for 2 weeks. A few questions!! Anyone know about buses from malaga to the port from where we can get a ferry to morocco? Is it possible to get a ferry timetable?Where is the best port in morocco to go to eg. Ceuta or Tangier? Any must see (or don't bother going to) places in morocco? Thanks for any information!! |

Hi there, I'm doing the same trip with my family and so far I understand it is easy to get to Algerciras (sp?) by train and bus from malaga, get an early ferry to Tanger (don't buy a return ticket - cheaper there!), don't hang about in Tanger, a bit of a hole, take a merc taxi to get out of the town (we are going to Ashilah (sp?), then training it down to Casblanca and Marrakesh (what exotic names). Cover up, it is more respectful and less hassle if you are smart - aparently they don't like scruffy westerners. And keep only small change in your pocket.
If you find out more let me know! I'll be the tall guy with two daughters and one wife and 4 rucksacks. Enjoy and see you there..... |

Have just come back from 3 weeks in Morocco, fab place. Highlights included: Chefchouan, Essaouira, Tarhazoute and Marrakech. These were the only places I visited though. Buses from Malaga to Ageciras are fairly frequent as are the ferries to Tangier and Ceuta (approx every hour). We got the ferry to Ceuta and everything was fine there, I suppose it depends where you go. I went with my three friends and we didn't cover up, shorts and t shirts and we were treated fine. Moroccans are used to tourists. Have a great trip. Marrakech is fab, and it's true about men groping in the crowds in Marrakech, but just step on their foot really hard, this seemed to work. Have a good trip
