We are considering a safari in April in Tanzania. Would we be liable to be "washed out", find roads washed away and lodges closed? What are the chances of seeing animals at this time of year. Should we just forget it and go at another time? Thanks

April is a good time and also low season in some of the lodges :-)
It rarely rains all day, mainly mornings and evenings, the main roads are all weather roads and wont be a problem. |

Most of the safaris are organised by using 4 wheel driv transportation and the animals do not have anywhere to go to. It is advisable to stay in Lodges during this period. You benefit on the low season rates. Please talk to www.breakawayafrica.com

Some weather informations about kenya :
http://www.thebesttimetovisit.com/weather/when-to-go-africa-kenya-idcontinentpayseng-1-9.html and Tanzania : http://www.thebesttimetovisit.com/weather/when-to-go-africa-tanzania-idcontinentpayseng-1-20.html For both countries april is actually the worst month to visit... |
