I'm off The Gambia in a couple of weeks. Anyone got some tips on things not to miss, or advise on what to look out for? Any little stories or experiences are welcome. Thanks.
Hi, we went there last year... it was wonderful, I recommend Abuku National Park and take a trip up the River. Use Lamin Sanyang as your guide! www.laminsanyang.co.uk. He's a local Gambian, knows everything you need to know about the country and it's wildlife. You should also visit Tendada ecolodge and possibly Georgetown if you can handle the trip.... the roads are rough as hell and it can take all day to get there from Banjul. Eat lots of Chicken Domada, peanut soup and be stern, but polite with the local scammers!! We managed to be plagued by them in Serrekunda, they just don't know when to leave alone.
