Hey!
I have heard that Amboselli National park is a long way to go for not much to see, has anybody been there and was it worth it?
Is it worth it for Kilimanjaro or not?

Went to Amboseli well over ten years ago so my memory has faded a bit!

From what I can remember its about 3-4hrs drive from Nairobi.I stayed at the Amboseli Lodge and the views of Mt.K were excellent.

There was a good variety of game - loads of elephants (very close) and we were lucky enough to see a couple of cheetah and Rhinos (at a distance).

The park has a reputation of being very (and I mean VERY)dusty especially at the height of the dry season.
