I'm going to be in Nairobi in a couple of weeks (early December) for business and I'm looking for a safari package that would be as eco-friendly and Maasai-friendly as possible. Would like to see as many animals as possible, luxury not required. But as a person travelling alone and with only 3 days off, I imagine it would be easier to go to one of the mid-range tented camps than on a camping safari? Any advice??
BTW the eco-tourism society of kenya (www.esok.org) has an eco-rating system now and it would be great if Rough Guides could review the places listed there (not too many).
I forgot to mention that I am planning to go to Maasai Mara. Does anyone know if there is a big difference between the amount of wildlife inside the park vs in private conservation areas?
