We would like to take our 13 year old daughter on safari for a week in April 2006 and need some advice. We will be flying from Belgium, is it better to start from Nairobi or Arusha? If we fly into Nairobi how long does it take and how do we get to Arusha? We are on a tight budget, don't like big tour groups but do like some comfort, what are some recommendations for cheap/safe/reliable tour companies. We have traveled in West and North Africa before but never the East.
Thanks for all your advice. |

Hi
April is migration time in Serengeti Tanzania, flights are often cheaper to Nairobi, the shuttle takes circa 5 hours to Arusha and costs $20 pp. To find a reputable tour operator check out the list of Tato members, a good place to start looking. www.tatotz.org |

as you are planing to travel in april
it is low season you get the Lodges ad reduced rates. For discounts if you contact TATA members you will get a idea what prices you can negotiate. If you change your mind and plan the safari in Kenya check with the members from KATO www.katokenya.org they will assist you with best rates and Itinery´s |
