My lover and I will be living in South Africa for about 6 months.

She is a white-Australian (Scottish background) and I am an Indian-Australian (the type from the sub continent).

Yeah racism is it an issue?

I have heard Indian aren’t particular liked by the Black South African, because they were seen as the white peoples lap dog. Is this true?

Is likely to affect things when traveling?

How do South African’s view interracial relationships?

We will be living in Soweto first off then we are off to Joburg and we will travel around to other bits of South Africa so any advice about peoples experience while traveling or living in South Africa as an interracial couple would be appreciated.

Also any experiences or advice people may have about South Africa and it surrounding neighboring countries in regards to racism and just general stuff would be much appreciated.
