Hi All

Need advice on travelling aroung Nairobi, in particular Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Are there campsites in the Maasai?
Could anyone recommend a tour group?
Does anyone know an English speaking guide?
How do I find the people of the Massai?
Good places to stay on arrival in Nairobi?

My plan is to spend a couple of week camped in the National reserve any advice would be welcome? (Visa, game park entry, safety, political climate etc)

Nairobi is worth a visit, but take care wallking at night.Some places are not safe.Try to be with a local at night.The agent you book with will help you with all this,
I got hold of a tour compamy by name ice rock adventure on the Rough guide book.They were so helpful and made my trip quite interesting.

Was just reading the posts on this I realise they are few months old but if anyone still reading please could you let me know is Nairobi safe to go alone as a female traveler, I'm looking at flying into Nairobi and working my way down to South Africa, alot of people are advising me against this but nobody I know has done it so I'm looking for advise from someone who has, I'm planning to go end of Jan '06.

Of course you can do it!!
I did it some years back,found work along the way,Kenya +Tanzania,ended up staying in Zimbabwe for 2 years, before reaching Capetown!!
NOW JUST GO AND DO IT!!!!!
