I would like to update some information in the last edition of the Rough Guide on Tanzania.

In Kilwa Masoko, a little coastal village in SE Tanzania, we met Mr. Daniel Masasi who owns a bar there.

I would like to let you know that his bar moved further down the road than is writtin in the RG. He's now situated opposite of the Bank, along the main road.

He told us about his plans to start a camping ground and guest house by next year. He offers travelers to take them to the beautiful little island of Kilwa Kisiwani (the ruins!) by a local boat which includes food as well. He can take them through the other islands too where you're able to see hippos. Besides that he has plans to start a disco and accomodation in the peninsula. The bar will also stay there and can offer tasty local dishes.

Mr. Masasi is always willing to provide information for tourists, that's how we met him as well.
