You are fed up of mass tourism tours and you are eager to discover Kenya by a different and original way ? Come now as an eco-volunteer and track elephants and other wildlife species.
Thereby, collecting data on wildlife you will participate in ecosystems’ conservation and you will also permit the local communities to grow in a sustainable way, involving yourself in development projects. We have 3 sites and projects that eco-volunteers can stay and work: -The Maasai-Elephants project in Amboseli -The Loitokitok forest site -The Kitobo forest site We welcome the groups from 4 to 6 participants. So organize your mates’ cluster for now and book your next eco-holidays. And if you come in September you will get the unique opportunity to take part in a very rare Maasai celebration, the Eunoto. It only occurs about every 10 years when the young Maasai stop to be “Morans” and become junior elders. The Morans’ hair is then shaved and the body’ s colours removed with a lot of rituals. These project is organized by Dr. Hamisi Mutinda, a local scientist who has been researching elephants for over 15 years.
