hi

I am going to Kenya in march and was wondering about the food?

what can we eat? - and what should we steer clear of e.g. ice, tap water? seafood, fish, meat, fruit - what else?

can you drink the milk over there?

thanks

Hi,Kenya is a very blessed nation,a country with milk and honey, the climate is favourable for farming,so they are lots of food to eat namely vegetables, fish, meat either boiled fried or nyama choma, all you would wish to eat is available.

The general rule is not to eat anything hat has not been boiled or peeled. I stayed for 8 month and never had a problem eating anything.
There is one place I can highly recommend, if you would like some time in a truely unspoilt area of Giriama people and traditional fantastic food: The Mida Ecocamp (a community Project)is new and not yet in any Guide. It is 20 km South of Malindi, 5km South of Gede. Let me know, if you would like some more info...
