As a charity fundraising stunt, myself and a friend are hitch hiking to Morocco this Easter. Obviously, we don't know how long this is going to take, and so I'm not sure exactly how much time we'll have in Morocco.

There's a lot I want to see but I think the route I was looking at might be a bit ambitious. Arriving at Tangier, we would then travel to Fes via Chefchaouen, then through to Merzouga. We would then go west to Ouarzazate, stopping at Tinerhir if needs be. Is it possible to get through to Asni from there? We'd end up in Marrakesh, where we depart from.

I plead a completely useless sense of proportion if this is actually a route that would take months! We're working on a small budget and so hoped to travel independently by grand taxi rather than getting an organised tour.

If anyone could give me an idea how long this would take, or tell me if it's possible to get from Ouarzazate to Asni without going through Marrakesh first, that would be brilliant.

Thanks,

Lucy
