i know this company, it is situated near barclays in dar es salaam bank in a dark alley. we did not like their behavior and their stories, when they were trying to sell us their safaris. you are much better off with reputable companies like authentic tanzania or wild things. both medium prized, but worth every cent. they are both run by white guys which ensures quality. lions of tanzania is run by an indian family, which sometimes do not live up to quality expectations of western travellers.

Hi Donald,
I was working in Tanzania last year and from my research in many forums before my departure and the people I talked to there, I realized that many posts are from Tanzanians paid by companies to tarnish the reputation of other companies. I don't know the company you're mentioning, but the previous post seems strange. Kipepeo is a swahili word and I can tell you that the black/Indian people that I met were as serious at organizing trips than "white guys". It's true though that you don't need to pay the maximum to get a good trip, it depends on your needs. Good luck in your search!

It is so wonderful that you had a marvelous trip to Africa, however, I would also like to share my tour guide of the past two Julys, one with a friend, and then one with my husband and daughter. Hezron of www.acrosstanzaniaexpeditions.com is the most extraordinary person I have ever met. We were bonded at first sight. By the third day, after seeing just way too many marvelous sights (3 cheetahs up close under a tree, a leopard sitting so noble right next to a vehicle's tire, a black mamba (not many get to see them), etc.) while we were driving back to the tented lodge, my friend was quiet and I was simply looking out the window at the beautiful Serengeti and all of a sudden felt tears rolling down my cheeks. My whole life had changed in a matter of a few days. Nothing mattered to me at all while I was there other than what was around me (and I am a highly energetic, hyper person who is always doing something), even the stress of my parents and their unhappiness with the situation life has presented them - for the length of time in Africa nothing else existed. I felt the soul and life of Tanzania and its land and people through Hezron who is deeply connected to both. Tanzania is his life. I would invite you to visit the website before you make any further decisions of traveling to Africa either for the first time, or a return visit. I do believe no one could care more about your time spent in Tanzania. susan
