Hi I'm a female travelling alone from Johannesburg to Cape town for a month. I was just wondering how safe it is there firstly in terms of being a woman alone and in terms of the road/traffic conditions. I'm planning on travelling on the Baz Bus so I can meet loads of other fellow travllers! Any opinions welcome
Thanks
gx

Hi Georgie

You will be fine. Travelling on Baz Bus is a safe and easy way to see South Africa. The drivers are great, knowledgable and you will meet like minded people on the buses. Just like in any country, major cities can be a bit daunting and you have to be careful. There are places in Sydney I would not walk at night. Use your head and you should be fine. The majority of locals that you will met will be great and I am sure that you will have a fantastic time. South Africa is a beautiful diverse country which you should enjoy.
