My friend just got rejected from the US/Canada border - Windsor: She was a graduate student picking up material for her thesis.
Apparent reasons are unknown but when discovering a businesscard of her psychologist in her backseat, they US inspectors claimed he needs to bring a letter from the shrink attesting her 'mental competency'. Also as graduate student, letter from the university.....
This is ludicruous and discrimnatory against those with depression etc. She's apolitical, white and Christian. They also used an email print-out against her: "No graduate student uses foul language and colloquialism in email?" they claim.
Does this mean we have to hide our anti-depressants etc whenever entering? Do cancer patients need x-rays? Does this happen alot? They extrapolate too much. Are Viagra users harmful as well?
I'd like to hear testimonies. One past post was useful: If you are a learned person/ Graduate student - do not leave in a resume/ Curriculum Vitae doc in laptops for immigration reasons.
