Our first leg of RTW means a couple of days stop over in Los Angeles.
Can anyone recommend any half decent places to stay. Dont want to spend a fortune (obviously). But dont want to end up in the 'Ghetto'. Also, recommended places. Booked online/telephone?? Cheers, R |

I would stay at Santa Monica, but where depends on your budget! I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express right near the pier. Santa Barbara is a very nice place if you want to get away from LA.

The youth hostel at Santa Nonica is very nice.
You can get the bus up from LAX no problem |

Super 8 motel in Hollywood is great value.$40 a night midweek, but more at weekends.
