I'm travelling to Vancouver in October and was wondering if anyone had recommendations for fun things to do off the beaten path? I'll have five days to spend, so would like to get to know the city if possible.

If anyone is still looking to go to Vancouver, here is a site with sample itineraries:

Also, anyone who has time while in Vancouver should also check out Whistler, one of the best destinations for skiing and snowboarding.

I suggest taking the ferry to Vancouver Island ; Victoria (capital of British Columbia) is a great place. You'll need to take a bus from Vancouver to Tsawwassen, then the ferry, then a bus from Swartz Bay on Vancouver Island to Victoria. However, this is very easy and quite quick.
