My friend and I are going to fly into Sacremento, grab a rental car head to Tahoe for two nights. Then drive to Yosemite and spend 4 nights. We then hend to San fran to jump back on the plane. Is there anything we should hit/miss along the way. Thanks!
PS first time to Cali for the both of us. |

If you'e staying in NorCal, you might want to spend half a day in Berkeley, which is right scross the bay from SF. There's a lively street scene there and some interesting shopping, plus one of the largest universities in CA.

What month are you heading to Tahoe? Skiing season starts around the end of November depending on snow and weather of course. If you are travelling then you may need to think about snow chains for you vehicle as they don't allow you on the mountain roads without them when the weathers bad.
South Lake Tahoe has the biggest selection of places to stay and you can take the Gondola up Heavenly for great views over the lake. If the weathers good you can hire bikes and enjoy the lake shore. There is also a small outlet shopping area as you enter SL Tahoe which often has some great deals on Saloman and outdoor wear. I got some great walking shoes for around $20. SL Tahoe is split with the Nevada border so there are many casino's if that floats your boat. Enjoy! Adam |
