Hello,

I'm wanting to go and live in Canada for about a year, and I'll be needing to work in bars etc for money.

Is this viable? I've looked into visas, and they all go on about having a job offer before arriving, and needing to prove that a native Canadian can't fill the job. All a bit daunting.. Is there anyone out there that has done this, that can maybe give me few pointers.

Any success stories would be appreciated.
I'm travelling in 6 months time and have a UK passport.

Cheers

Al

Check out - http://www.bunac.com/uk/ - there is a section on the non-student programme - gets you a one year working visa without needing a job offer.
