I'm staying in LA for 3 days before going on to Polynesia on my honeymoon, and then returning through LAX. I want to store the bulk of my luggage at the airport for a week and travel more lightly to the islands. The problem is upon returning through the airport my transfer time is too short to allow me to store my bags at the LA hotel (quite a way out) and I'm having difficulty finding information on storage facilities. Is it possible to store luggage for a week here? Or any other advice/recommendations very welcome. Thanks.

Unfortunately, it seems from the airport's website - www.lawa.org/lax - that their left luggage service is closed indefinately. However, the website also gives names and phone numbers of "approved" off-airport baggage storage companies which you could contact. Alternatively, why not contact the hotel you'll be staying in in LA and see what they suggest?
