Hi, am staying in Hotel 17 (East Village) in November. Has anyone stayed there and what should I expect?

I have lived in New York for about 25 years, and the East Village is the Hippster side of town, this is where there is ALOT of young people, and the traveler has MANY travelling options (Metro, Bus, Taxi). You will definitely enjoy this stay as there will be alot to see and do. I went to New York University (located in the West Village),and tyhe East Village is next door. I do not know this specific hotel, but I hoped that u are NOT paying expensive rates.
