Hello fellow travelers and vacationers! I just visited a spectacular AND incredibly cheap (both qualities deserve equal emphasis) hostel in the Seattle/Tacoma area--a hostel I came across only by chance so I want to get the word out!
Think outdoor camping AND indoor lodging on a ranch/farm ground setting surrounded by acres and acres of forest trails combined with excellent log-cabin ammenities. I'm talking super-clean bathrooms, plush sofas & chairs, giant screen TV with video AND DVD library, pool table, three fully-stocked kitchens, and much more! Price? You'll love this...$13 a night...yes, only $13! And this is for the indoor dorm rooms! There are also teepees and covered wagons to sleep in. If you "rough it" outside in a tent (you still have complete access to all indoor facilities), you pay only $9 a night! These are better than Canadian hostel prices AFTER the exchange rate!!! The hostel is all about location, creating the ultimate balance between seclusion and big city access. It is located on Vashon Island, which is only a 20 minute ferry ride to both Seattle and Tacoma! Seriously, if you are traveling through the Sea-Tac area, you gotta give this place a try. If you are planning a group trip (school, retreat, reunion, etc), this place specializes in accomodating all your needs. Here is their web site: www.vashonhostel.com |
