Hi there,

Can anyone recommend any place to stay in DC? I know there's the places listed on this site, just wondered if anyone knew of any other budget hotels/guesthouses?

And is there anything beyond the obvious national museums etc that i should be doing/seeing?

Cheers!

Have you heard of a website www.newtravelagent.com <http://www.newtravelagent.com>?

This site is really cool... they have cheap fares for airlines, hotels, cars for any destination you may want to travel to... The best part is they save you time that we generally waste researching the internet for good deals, they will do all the research and book the cheapest deals.

I stayed at the Best Western Capitol Skyline in DC. I paid £30 ($60) a night for a double room. A great place to stay at a great price. Booked through BW central reservation site. Trip Advisor is full of comments about the hotel's location and the tramps in the area. My advice - ignore them. This hotel is perfectly safe. Near to the Metro too.

Also worth considering is Crystal City. This metro station is surrounded by a dozen different mid- and upmarket options, as well as a shopping mall with food court.

I hope this helps:)
