America means different things to different people. New Yorkers rave about thie city and being able to eat pizza at 2am, Texans love the wide open spaces and Californians love the ocean.
In your opinion which is the best state in America and why.

I've been to about 35 and absolutely cannot choose the "best" of these as they're all so different. I love Maine for its coastal fishing towns; Hawaii for it's incredible climate and natural beauty; Colorado for the mountains; Utah for it's bizarre geographical features; Oregon for the Pacific coast...a better question might be. What is your least favorite state? Hmmm. The Great Plains states are definitely the least interesting on a long cross-country drive - unless you're really into corn and open flatland.
I've got to say my heart is in Indiana. Thats 'cos thats where my dad lives! I have lived in N.H, Tenn., In., S.Dak., Kansas, Fla., and Ca. They are all beautiful in their own way!
Chicago is my favourite so far (but I've only been to 4 states..)
its got everything from skyscrapers to lovely beaches.
What more could you want?
my least favourite was DC. Everything was closed when I went there due to the war, and the rich poor divide is very blaitant. It really intimidated me.

Hmm what a ? my fav cities.... Have lived and worked in North America for 25 years. but when ever I visit San francisco i fall in love with the city all over again. I also love New york City. My least faverite city is LA. Americans are the most friendly when they are at home. god bless America you guys you are your own best ambassadors keep it up. Viv
