Hey, I'm taking a year out, and hope to travel around america for that time. However my bank balance (depleting further with each 18th b'day celebration) will not last me a years travelling, so I was hoping to work my way around. I know you can get visas to allow you to do this in australia as my sis is there now, but seem to be having trouble finding something similar for america. I live in Britain, and just want a year long visa. Does anyone know where/how I could get one?

Check out www.travel.state.gov and take a glance at the Visas for foreign citizens section. It will give you the infor you need.

Cheers

There are hundreds of international yachts that may be able to put on temp or permanent crew. Jobs often pay over $10 per hour for day work. Stews on motoryachts get $75 to $150 per day plus return ticket to Florida. Stay at a crew house hostel while looking for work.
