First off, you are in the wrong states. You can find red necks everywhere, but the hands down place you should be researching is the deep south, Confederate States.

You do know that the term REDNECK originally derived from people who had to work the farms? Bending over (stoop labor) exposed their necks to sunburn. People who have hard lives and little education and probably stuck in that same rut forever.
I hope the study is a comparison of similarities between the lesser educated in Britain, like the slums of London, Wales, Liverpool and Coventry and the under educated "hillbillies" and poor mountain folk of the U.S. Or the similarities of the many caravan parks in Britain to the "trailer parks" in the U.S. Or the areas of cities and towns relegated to Asians and people of color only that has become the the norm in your country. You will find very little difference between the UK and the U.S. except for geographic location and accents. Texas, Nevada, and Arizona??? Define "redneck" - or are you looking for mountain folk "hillbillies??" Go cheap - go often! |
