I am wanting to do an over night camp on a beach in Southern Ca.

Does anyone know if and where this is possible?

I really do not want to stay in a camp ground, so any help with this topic would be deeply appriciated.

I do not know of any place you can legally camp that is not in a camp ground, but there is lots of coast and as long as you do not attract attention with a fire or a car, parked on the shoulder, you can sleep on the beach near Oxnard. Just walk south from the pier until you are out of sight beyond the life guard patroled area. There is a industrial and swampy area without access between Pt Magu Naval Air Station and the Oxnard City beaches.
