Hi

Has anyone travelled on the Alaska Ferries from Prince Rupert - Seward v.v in late Sept / early Oct.

Any recommendations, weather, sights, etc.

Thanks

Hi I live in Juneau, Ak & we use the ferries often ( at least those in So. E. Ak.

First oft the period you have chosen is the rainiest of the yr. (About 6-7 in./month.)

The solariums on top of the ferries are great for sleeping with a good sleeping bag.

Juneau is the most culturally diverse stop by far. Sitka is perhaps the most beautiful sitting as it does on the open ocean.
Write if you have more ?? Gerry

We have travelled Alaska and BC in June, not too cold and we ducktaped our tent on the sundeck, which is for free. Showers were free as well.

Mind you still snow on the Chilkoot hike.
