My wife and I are thinking about taking a long break in the USA. We fancy locating ourselves somewhere on the East Coast. i.e. Massachusetts or Virginia? We'd be looking to rent for up to 3 months. (I believe that's the max. we can?)

I am interested to hear from anyone who's done it or considering doing it like ourselves.

What are the pitfalls? Where is the best value locate?

Any recommendations?
