A very specific question - I have to transfer from a Greyhound bus to an Amtrak train in Los Angeles, mid afternoon, during my visit in April, and it would be really useful to know how long it takes to get from the Greyhound station to Union station. It doesn't look far on the map, but you never can tell! I'd rather travel by public transport, but could get a cab if it's the only way.0

The bus station is a little over 1.5 miles from Union Station. There is limited bus service from the Greyhound station to Union Station. I suggest you call Greyhound and see what the schedule is like.
