My boyfriend and I have a 4 day trip planned to Denver, CO in October. We are renting a car as we don't care to do much in the city and want to go out into the mountains and sight see or hike.

Any recommendations of nearby Denver sightseeing? I was thinking we'd probably go up to Rocky Mountain National Park, but if anyone has recommendations I'd appreciate it.

Also, is it feesable to camp in October or is it too cold? We aren't experienced by any means, but I'd be up for camping overnight if possible.
