I'm planing on travelling to the US over summer. I live in the UK, & my plan so far is to fly to Toronto from Manchester & then go to Buffalo (via Niagra Falls :D) pretty much straight away.
My question is regarding border crossing & Visas... I know that if I were to fly directly to the US from the UK I'd fill in a Visa Waiver form etc., but because I'm going to Canada & then crossing the border on land, can anyone tell me what the formalities will be? Thanks very much guys! |

Hi, are you going by train or car? If you're driving it's pretty easy, you'll be asked to walk into the border control office where they'll photograph you, get some details then get a few dollars from you for the privilege! You'll have a form stapled into your passport which you must have removed on your way back through or at the airport before you travel back to the UK.
I would imagine the train is just as easy. Travellers Mantra: Travel light, trust few and always paddle you own canoe. |
