Does anyone know which is the best hostel in San Diego? I've seen that there are three - Point Loma, Ocean Beach and Downtown. Incidentally I don't have a car, so I'd need somewhere which is convenient for public transport.

I just stayed at a hostel in downtown San Diego, in the gaslamp district this weekend. If you are looking for accessibility and location, this is your place. It is right around the corner from about 30 bars and clubs. It's a quieter hostel, not much going on, but there is no curfew, free pancakes, and they have private rooms. Otherwise, stay at one near Pacific Beach or Mission Beach. The other ones are going not going to be as happening.
