I'm considering staying at the Habitat hotel when I visit NYC at Easter. It seems ideal as an inexpensive choice. Let me know if you've stayed there. What are the rooms like? What is the location like?

I went there, computer printout in hand
with my reservation number in hand, hotel
reserved on credit card (amex). they said i was
sit outta luck and threw me and my wife out
on the street with luggage to find a new hotel and no taxi. i had to pay double after ruining
my trip and flying across from London (I am
an American and know NY). These guys a re fuckers. even with reservations, its a crap shoot. the people were surly and insulting.

stay anywhere but there...i know they are cheap but i am so PISSED OFF

ALSO, DO NOT USE THEIR INTERNET
SITE. That is how i booked. they are so
overbooked and this was in winter after the WTC attacks when everyone was sayoing come to NY. They are aweful and want to spare others flying in to get an alternative.

any decent hotel would have said, i am sorry, we are full and since you had a booked resevation held on Cred card, we will put you
up in another hotel or at least cover the difference. we had to stay ina $175/night hotel. and we are not on business expense.

i hate these bastards so much
