I am trying to plan a trip to Yosemite National park. My partner and I intend to get married there in 2006 and everything I have read so far tells me I have to book at least a year in advance fo I am doing my research NOW! there is a possibility we will have our parents with us who are in their 70's and as my partner is slightly disabled following an accident last year we will not being doing any trecking! I would love to hear any advice on what we should and SHOULD NOT do from anyone who has been there. As we live in the UK the distance makes planning a little trickier (although the WWW is a blessing there!) so if anyone knows any shortcuts or cheaper options I would be very grateful if you can share this with me!. Thanks in anticipation!

I need more to give you an answer. How long are you staying? What month will you be coming?

Try to avoid staying outside the park. Accommodation may be cheaper but it's a long drive in. Apart from the places in the Valley (where the Ahwahnee Hotel is very impressive but expensive), there is a good, quiet B&B - The Yosemite Peregrine (there's a website you can find through a search engine) - which has three good quality rooms and is about 20-25 minutes from the Valley.
