Hi,

Me and my girlfriend will be staying in LA on the last leg of our RTW trip next year for two nights (21st + 22nd May 2006). Following that we are going on a TrekAmerica tour called WesternWonder. For the tour we need to meet at the Hacienda Hotel (near LAX) at 7.30am. Originally we thought about staying at the LA Backpackers Paradise, because of its location near LAX. Having read reviews of LA BPP which include the words "hell-hole", "drug dealers" and "drive-by shooting" we have decided against this!

My question is would it be practical to stay at one of the hostels in Hollywood (e.g. USA Hostel) and be able to get to our gateway hotel early in the morning? hopefully by the cheapest way possible. And if so by what means and what sort of price?
