Tiny tiny private rooms- like sleeping in a toilet stall. The walls don't go all the way to the ceiling and the beds hurt to lie on. I didn't sleep a wink the 2 nights I stayed there.
Night 1 when I was there, our neighbor snored all night. Night 2, another neighbor had sex all night. Not so very loudly, but since they were only inches away and the walls are like cardboard, it didn't really matter. And in between those big sleep killers, there's the sound of dozens of people in their cubicles, breathing in unison. It's a little eerie. I'd say, don't pay for a 'private room' (they aren't private, they're barely rooms); or else pay a little more for a better place.
It could be worse, the staff are nice and all, but I wouldn't really recommend it.
It is across from CBGBs, so if you're a nostalgic punk rocker, that's in its favor.
