| <ice bar Poland in Warsaw>
|
Poland's first Ice Bar sponsored by Finlandia Vodka opens mid-February. The tables, furniture and benches at the bar are all made of ice.
This unusual place is situated at 61 Pańska St. This is the only bar where the low temperature of -8° Celsius is an actual attraction. The interior is decorated with figures of various animals and a figure of a cupid stands on the bar, wearing only a hat. The ice bar was made by Krzysztof Gac, who started work on eight tonnes of ice blocks early in the year. The owners promise to keep the bar open all year long, regardless of the outside temperature. The Ice Bar is equipped with special cooling devices which will prevent it from turning into a puddle during the summer. Good news for those who get cold easily: all guests are given a special winter parka to wear and a glass of Finlandia vodka at the entrance and as a good-bye-warm tea, coffee or mulled wine. Thanks to the Ice Bar, alongside Helsinki and Los Angeles Warsaw has joined the small group of cities around the world where Finlandia Vodka operates ice bars. web page Ice Bar Poland in Warsaw Pańska 61 +48/22/654 56 34 www.icebar.com.pl Welcome Travellers in Warsaw |

This is great! I wish there was something like this in the US. The closest I can find is what looks like an amazing ice exhibit in Orlando (of all places!) The website says it is carved from two million pounds of ice. They keep it at 9 degrees and give everybody a winter coat, too. Just no vodka. At least nothing about vodka on the website!
Here are the links for the Orlando ice show. I guess it would be good for anybody spending Christmas at Disney (like me!): www.gaylordpalms.com/ice or on this site: ChristmasInOrlando.com |
