Hello, one and all......

First:
I am looking for a great beach for snorkeling in Cost Rica, where the water is both crystal clear and calm...I have been spoiled by my experiences in S.E. Asia.

Second:
Could you recommend any language schools?
I plan on taking 2-3 weeks of Spanish and would prefer a school that allows for conversation to be applied immediately in the classroom as we are learning the grammar, etc. I teach ESL so I understand the concept of immersion. In my last experience in Oaxaca, Mexico, the school jammed me up with lots of grammer, but didn't allow for sufficient chances to assimilate the language into my psyche. I'd like to homestay as well.

You might want to check out Spanish language schools in Honduras, too. There are options on Roatan and Utila, but only the mainland ones offer homestays. I'm planning 2-3 weeks in Copan Ruinas in a homestay and a week each on Roatan and Utila. Just a thought...

Happy trails!

Happy trails...

There is a very good school in Orosi not far from Cartago. They are very well organised and have good accommodations. Have a look at www.montanalinda.com

I am going to CR in November and would be grateful to learn about places to scuba or snorkel

Try comparing schools using www.123teachme.com. I have been in contact with them from time to time and I believe that they are serious about fairly assessing Spanish schools. Whether you use them or not, it would be good to later add your comments about where you do go to describe that school.
