I am planning a trip to costa rica in june-july for about 2 weeks. Anyone who has any good tips or warnings?

If possible, avoid staying in San Jose. As capital cities go, it has little to recommend it. Two weeks is not really enough to see everything the country has to offer and you may be there in the rainy season, which might make some travelling around a little difficult. Even in the wet part of the year, though, you should have plenty of good weather.

What are your priorities? Beaches? Wildlife? Volcanoes? Rain Forests? Nightlife? I can't help you much on wild nightlife and beaches are sort of incidental to our own holidays but we have a trip report, with some photos on our website, www.avengerpenguins.com . It focuses on birds and wildlife and it's quite long but it might help you decide on some destinations, assuming you've read a good guide book or two.
