I'm heading to Quepos, Costa Rica this week. The Rough Guide suggests packing "sulpher powder" to combat the fleas and chiggers that are on CR's beaches. What the hell is sulpher powder and how do I use it against the little nasties?

Any other suggested anti beach bug stuff?
