Do be careful in Guadalahara, fellow travelers, if you find yourself dripping with salsa. Such an occaision happened to me and my girlfiend today, from some unknown ´sauce´, and soon a friendly gentleman bought us a water and helped us with getting ourselves clean. At some point during this charming gesture, he managed to empty my wallet of all it´s belongings, a not insubstantial sum as i had just cashed some cheques. It´s a lovely city, and the people are the friendliest I´ve met yet in Mexico, just please beware of this f*cker.

Hi,

Live and work in Guadalajara and never had any problems here. Always good to know where you have to look out for. The only place where you dont want to come at night as far as I know is the Market anex hooker area San Juan de Dios. During day time it´s a really nice place to visit. They say it is the biggest indoor market in the world but maybe its better to say in Mexico.
