Hostel Zocalo, Merida, quite new hostel right in the middle of town on the Zocalo, in an old colonnial building. Laid back manager, and friendly staff, hammocks $50, dorms and rooms, all with mozzie nets and fans, communal kitchen and TV room, internet, washing machine, hot showers, balconies overlooking the Zocalo. We have really enjoyed it here.

Could you be a little more exact? I was just there and what I really noticed was the 7-11 store on the Zócalo. Does this place have a website? And- you mean 50 pesos, right?
