Im in the very early stages of planning a trip for maybe 6 months around central america and am having difficulties finding a flight package from london to this continent only. They all seem to involve travel to a couple of continents minimum. Id be looking at maybe 5 flights or there abouts in total so a package would definitely be benefitial. Id greatly appreciate any advice....

Not sure what you're after here. Do you want flights to Central America from London, or are you after a package that includes both the intercontinental flight and flights within C.A.?

If you're just looking at getting there, then MartinAir do good value flights from Heathrow, via Amsterdam and Miami (stopovers of about an hour in each) to Costa Rica and they also have flights at times which minimise "jetlag".

Internal flights in Costa Rica (the only CA country I have any experience of) are quite cheap and easy to arrange. You could probably just turn up at the airports/airstips and sort soething out, especially if you were flexible.

I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have about Costa Rica itself, although there are many people on this board who know the area better than me. My main interest was the wildlife, so if that appeals, let me know, leave an e-mail address or whatever and I'll see if I can help.

Maybe you are referring to an air pass, so that you can fly between places. I am not sure that it is still in effect, but this web page purports to tell about it. http://www.worldtravellers.net/airtravel/airpass3.html#vca

However, I could find nothing at the TACA airline website to suggest that it is still functional.

My experience is primarily in northern Central America. I was in CR once, but have not returned. There were no indigenous people that I could see.

If you have six months, you don't need to fly while there. There are buses aplenty.
