I am doing two trips back to back August through to November this year.

The first trip is Central America where the clothing requirements are for a hot and humid climate.

The second is from La Paz and the Inca trail then north to Equador, the clothing requirement is quite different.

I was thinking of sending thermals etc seperately and picking them up at San Jose airport, where I fly from after the first trip when I make my connecting flight on to La Paz.

Has anybody got any experiences or advice on different clothing requirements, as I don't want to lug around thermals etc in a hot humid climate for 40+ days, but will need them on arrival in La Paz.
